Delegator
A delegator is an actor or entity that delegates a resource, typically cryptoassets, to another actor so that it can be used productively in some form, typically in return for compensation. Delegators are commonly associated with Proof of Stake and similar proof mechanisms, whereby delegators may delegate a contribution token to a block producer in return for a share of block rewards and fees. However, the role can also be performed in other cryptoeconomic scenarios, such as delegating to a service provider of some kind.
