Cryptoasset

A cryptoasset is an asset (financialised or otherwise) that exists on a blockchain-based or blockchain-like network.

Cryptoassets are frequently referred to as 'tokens', 'coins', 'cryptocurrencies', etc.; however, these terms are often applied technically imprecisely, as cryptoassets are a superset of these more case-specific terms.
