Veto Right

A veto right represents the ability of a specific actor to overturn, cancel, or postpone an otherwise decided proposal. This is particularly relevant in a project's governance procedures, as it can confer greater authority to specific users. Veto rights can be given to a larger group of actors under regimes such as optimistic governance, where users veto decisions they oppose instead of voting for decisions they approve.
