Basic Attention Token

The Basic Attention Token functions within the Brave Browser open-source, blockchain-based ecosystem to enable users to monetize their attention and personal information and for digital advertisers to operate within a system designed to be more efficient and cost effective. Created by Brendan Eich, the creator of the Firefox browser, the Brave Browser operates in both desktop and mobile environments, blocking 3rd party advertisements and malware yet allowing users to earn BAT tokens by engaging with a smaller number of more effectively targeted ads. Publishers receive increased revenue because advertisers are able to pay more for better targeted ads while reducing payments for poorly-allocated or blocked advertising.
